Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican running for president, will be in Dorchester County on Saturday to begin his campaign there. At the Dorchester Shrine Club’s Faith, Family & Freedom Dinner, a Dorchester County GOP fundraiser, Ramaswamy will be the featured speaker.
Ramaswamy’s return coincides with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s trip to South Carolina as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. Previously, the Ohio-based biotech entrepreneur ran for office in Iowa and hosted events at the state fair.
The GOP event on Saturday is sold out and 300 or so attendees are anticipated. The event begins at 5:30 PM.
